The inimitable Carol Channing began her entertainment career on the Great White Way, with roles in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Hello, Dolly! that skyrocketed her to fame.
She then jumped from stage straight to screen with roles in musical romantic comedy Thoroughly Modern Millie and just plain comedy Skidoo, as well as appeared on shows such as The Ed Sullivan Show. At 97 years old, Channing is still keeping busy, mostly with the release of her autobiography and the audiobook version thereof, which she naturally narrated.
