This Hollywood icon began her career in a big band, for which she provided the vocals. She achieved even more fame after breaking out on her own solo career, releasing more than 650 singles from the late forties to the late sixties.
We don’t know how she managed, but Day somehow broke out of the recording studio to appear in films such as thriller The Man Who Knew Too Much, and romantic comedy Pillow Talk. In recent years, however, she has been more camera shy, withdrawing from the public eye save for a handful of charity appearances.
