This soulful crooner started making music in the 1950s, and hasn’t stopped since. His debut single Because of You landed squarely at number 1 on the U.S. charts, but he has shown he doesn’t at all mind playing well with others, as his 2014 collaboration with Lady Gaga, Cheek to Cheek, proved in spades.
Bennett won 19 Grammy Awards and sold more than 50 million records – and counting! Here’s something you might not have known: he’s an avid painter, and his work has been on display in numerous art institutions, including the Smithsonian.
