[post_page_title]Carl Reiner – 96 years old[/post_page_title]
Since he’s getting on in years now, it’s easy to forget just how influential and important Carl Reiner was – and still is – to comedy, but that would be a mistake that’s no laughing matter.

Reiner created sitcom The Dick Van Dyke Show and Saturday Night Live precursor sketch show Caesar’s Hour, both extremely influential in the early days of television comedy. He also happens to be the father of Rob Reiner, an actor-director that was just as influential in comedy. Like fellow comedian Mel Brooks, Reiner still does occasional voiceover work in shows like Family Guy and Duck Duck Goose.
