Actress Marsha Hunt is an inspirational example of standing up for what you believe in. She was hugely successful in Hollywood in the 1930s-1940s, but then the winds of change blew and the “Red Scare” of the 1950s began.
Firm in her beliefs, Hunt campaigned against the notorious House of Un-American Activities Committee, and paid the price – she struggled mightily to find work throughout most of the 1950s. The once successful actress, who starred in drama Cry Havoc and period piece Pride and Prejudice, says she has no regrets, and we can do nothing but salute her for being a real paragon of American values.
