Mia Hamm was a groundbreaking athlete during her years as an Olympian. In a sport that is still dominated by men today, Hamm became a two-time gold medalist on the United States Women’s Olympic Soccer Team and is a FIFA World Cup Champion.
She was also named FIFA’s Female World Player of the Year twice and has been inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame, the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, and the World Football Hall of Fame. Now, Mia is a special ambassador for FC Barcelona. Mia has been referred to as “Perhaps the most important athlete of the last 15 years.”
