Mary Lou Retton is still one of the most recognized Olympian athletes of all time… even as she grows in age! In the 1984 Summer Olympics, Retton was the named first female gymnast to win a gold medal in the Individual All-Around.
She has also won two silver medals and two bronze medals. After she retired from gymnastics, Retton lived in Houston, Texas until 2009 when she moved to West Virginia with her family. In 2012, she relocated back to Houston with her four daughters and husband. Post-gymnastics, Mary Lou lives a healthy lifestyle and is a well-known fitness enthusiast.
