[post_page_title]Jacqueline Kersee[/post_page_title]
Jacqueline Kersee won three gold medals in the heptathlon, the long jump in the 1988 Seoul Olympics and in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. She was the very first woman to obtain a score of 7,000 points in a heptathlon event.
In 1984 she won a silver medal at the Los Angeles Olympics, and in 1996 a bronze medal at the Atlanta Olympics. After her athletic career ended, she started the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation which helps families in poverty. Her heptathlon world record is still yet to be beat.
