Peggy Fleming was the only Olympian athlete to win a gold medal for the United States in Women’s Figure Skating during the 1968 Winter Games. Fleming is also a three-time World Champion, from the years 1986 until 1988.

After the ’68 Games, Fleming returned to television to perform as a starring figure skating for popular ice shows. In 1970, she married her high school sweetheart and they have two adult sons and three grandchildren. For the past 20 years Peggy has worked as a commentator for national figure skating events and competitions, as well as the Winter Olympic Games.
