Matt Biondi is an 11-time Olympic medalist who came oh, so close to beating Mark Spitz’s record for most gold medals held. Biondi has eight gold medals total, and he set three individual world records in both the 50-meter freestyle as well as four in the 100-meter freestyle.
The former swimmer has been inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame and the United States Olympic Hall of Fame. In his retirement, Biondi has turned his into a profitable source of income. He teaches math and coaches the local swim team at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, a small Los Angeles neighborhood.
