She’s retired twice, once in 1988 and again in 2000, only to realize her love for the sport surpassed her need for retirement. Notably, the German powerhouse has also won 38 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships. Today, Fisher also works as a photographer and displays her work through the Art of the Olympians Foundation.
