We all know Hugh Jackman for one thing and one thing only – Wolverine. However, the role was originally supposed to go to Dougray Scott. He was unable to perform in this super iconic role because he was hand-picked by Tom Cruise to be the villain in Mission Impossible two.
Filming ran over by about two months for that movie, so the studios needed to find another Wolverine, so they chose Jackman.
