Melanie Griffith was offered the role of Thelma, in the classic film, Thelma and Louise, but TURNED IT DOWN. The role went to actress, Geena Davis, who worked alongside Susan Sarandon in the classic film.
The 1991 movie became such a success that we can only imagine how silly Melanie felt at turning down such a role, although she did have other gigs lined up.
