Both Garrett Hedlund and Charlie Hunnam were offered the role of billionaire heartthrob with a fetish for pain, Christian Grey, in the film adaptation of the successful books, Fifty Shades of Grey. Hedlund turned down the role because he couldn’t relate to the character.
The role ended up going to stunner, Jamie Dornan, who made Christian Grey come to life like no one else could. The fans of the franchise were happy with Dornan’s casting, as his appearance is more in line with what the book described him as looking.
