Midsommar was one of the most hyped movies of the year, and its trailer seemed pretty darn promising. While its premise was the usual “a bunch of college kids going away somewhere remote and getting offed one after the other”, it offered a new and interesting angle.
However, the movie itself is far more disturbing than you’d expect – like being on a bad trip after drinking whatever was in those cups in the movie. And when some very gross and bloody images were pushed onto the viewers with absolutely no preparation, some people just walked out… and we can’t blame them.
