[post_page_title]Mother![/post_page_title]
Darren Aronofsky’s Mother! is perhaps one of the most polarizing movies in history. In fact, the one thing all viewers can actually agree on is that it’s not for everyone. The film, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem, is full of biblical allegories and is largely meant to make its viewers feel increasingly uncomfortable as more and more people invade the mother’s home against her wishes.

Mother!

If it had remained more realistic while still catering to the social criticism intended behind it, perhaps more people would survive through watching it – but viewers just couldn’t take the exaggerated nature of it, when the whole house suddenly turned into a war zone.
