[post_page_title]A Quiet Place[/post_page_title]
A Quiet Place is one of the most talked-about movies of the year, and there’s no denying it was both unique and well-written. Real-life married couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski – who wrote and directed the film – star together as married couple with children, Lee and Evelyn Abbott, who live in a reality where the mere act of speaking can get someone killed. Using sign language, whispering, and careful treading, they get through their day-to-day hoping a monster won’t hear them and appear out of nowhere.
But some people didn’t buy into the premise, thinking it was too inconsistent. Especially after the scene where Lee takes his son near a waterfall, and tells him they can speak without being heard, thanks to the sound of the streaming water. One minute they’re talking, and the next – they can’t step on a creaking floorboard?
