The Monuments Men introduced the people who protected and retrieved stolen art during World War II. Not only did it have incredible hype, but it also had an impressive cast, including Matt Damon, George Clooney, and Cate Blanchett, and was directed by George Clooney.
What should’ve been a massive hit, ended being a total miss. It fell flat, especially compared to Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards – a World War II comedy action film that was much, much better.
