This comic book-based film tells the story of journalist Eddie Brock who ends up as a host for an alien Symbiote called Venom, giving him superhuman strength. Although it stars heavy hitters like Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, and Riz Ahmed, it got some mixed reviews from people who watched it.
Of course, we’re not just talking about Lady Gaga fans (who gave the film bad reviews in order to boost her movie, A Star Is Born). The scene at the bistro – where Eddie first hears Venom’s voice in public, freaks out and jumps in a huge lobster tank – particularly rubbed people the wrong way. This scene was so cringe-worthy and out of place, it made some people hate the movie.
