Starting his own mail-order record business when he was 20, he expanded into general entertainment store, and then founded his own music label. His true passion was exploration, however, both above and below our feet. He founded Virgin Galactic, a private spaceflight company seeking to promote space tourism, for example. But his true calling, and love, lay underwater.
