In order to bring more awareness to their project, and ocean conservation in general, the entire expedition was filmed by the Discovery Channel. Special cameras accompanied Branson and his team as the plumbed the Great blue Hole’s depths, and broadcast lives to an audience of millions.
In the special, titled Inside the Blue Hole, viewers got a first-hand, real-time account of what it was like to boldly go where no man (or woman) had ever gone before.
