Doctor Strange handing the time stone to Thanos basically makes them lose the fight, so one might ask – why on earth would he do that?
Especially when earlier he tells Tony that he would sooner let him and Spider-Man die, before handing over the stone? Well, since Strange saw every possible future outcome for their battle with Thanos, and knew the only option that would have them winning, we’re pretty sure he had good reason to do it. Before he disintegrates, he tells Tony, “It was the only way.”
