While watching that horrible, awful scene where so many Avengers disintegrated into dust, some fans couldn’t help but wonder why some characters dusted away faster than others.
The snap of Thanos’ fingers was supposed to make them all disappear in a heartbeat (like in the comic book), but their dusting was gradual instead. So why go one at a time? Again, this was all for the dramatic effect. What worked well for the comics wouldn’t be quite as emotional in the movie, which is why it had to be changed.
