At the end of Infinity War, the original Avengers survived, and this might not be by accident. Another theory for Avengers 4 says that the original Avengers will actually sacrifice themselves to save the new Avengers, and thus make way for them to continue the franchise.
This isn’t a stretch considering their contracts are coming to a close, and we still don’t know whether or not they’ll be renewed. We’re hoping this isn’t the case, since they’re way too awesome to go, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
