In the comics, Thanos becomes consumed with the power of the stones, and Nebula (Thanos’ least favorite child) manages to get her hands on the infinity gauntlet and undo everything Thanos did.
Because the time stone is in the gauntlet, this is technically possible, and since Nebula is alive – she can be the key to the Avengers’ rescue. But after Thanos uses the power of the infinity stones at the end of the movie, we see the gauntlet pretty much destroyed, so what happens remains to be seen.
