One of the most influential Egyptologists of the modern era is Mark Lehner. Lehner and his time put together a study that was one of the most detailed to ever be created.
He has also introduced some new and fascinating theories revolving around the pyramids. Lehner does not agree with Verner that it took 100,000 men, but rather, he believes that it took somewhere between 15,000 and 40,000. When Lehner began his research, he did not anticipate how influential it would become.
