One particular Egyptologist named Miroslav Verner has come up with a theory that has made him one of the most respected people in his field.
He theorized that it took more than one-hundred thousand men that were divided into a hierarchy in order to complete the construction of the pyramids. He claimed that men were divided into teams that suited their skills and then sub-divisions that were related to individual skills. Basically, he suggested that a pyramid of people was created in order to create the pyramids.
