So now that we have discovered the theories about who built the pyramids, we need to find out why they were built to begin with.
According to most Egyptologists, the Great Pyramid was intended to house the body and the possessions of Pharaoh Khufu. It is speculated that the smaller pyramids in front of the the Great Pyramid was intended for Khufu’s wives. Although this is the most widely accepted theory, there are other thoughts around the purpose of the pyramid.
