Standing at over 481 feet tall, the building is enormous, and was certainly a feat of ancient engineering.
In fact, it was actually the tallest manmade structure in the world, for a very long time – the Great Pyramid of Giza held the title of the “world’s tallest manmade structure” for over 3,870 years. Humans would only build a taller structure in the year 1311 – the Lincoln Cathedral in Lincoln, United Kingdom.
