Michael McKean is a successful actor, comedian, composer, and writer. He had a collection of recurring characters as a cast member on Saturday Night Live, starred as Chuck McGill in the ABC drama Better Call Saul, won a Grammy Award for Best Written Song for a Motion Picture, and is the guitarist and lead vocalist of fictional band, Spinal Tap. Since Laverne & Shirley ended, McKean reinvented his career without entirely switching genres. In the biz, this can be quite difficult to accomplish. He’s been married to Annette O’Toole since 1999.
