Carole Ita White was a fan favorite on the show; she played Rosie Greenbaum, a childhood nemesis that followed Laverne & Shirley into their adulthood. The girls call her “Big” Rosie and she’s the primary enemy of Laverne throughout the series. She is married to a proctologist, and in spite of Laverne and Shirley’s offensive jokes about his profession, Rosie still brags about her husband’s wealth. Carole Ita makes her final appearance as Rosie in the season 7 episode “Class of ’56” at Laverne and Shirley’s high school reunion.
