Lenny, the childhood friend and roommate of Squiggy, was the second half of the sitcom’s hilarious duo. As a character, Lenny claims to be 89th in line to the Polish throne and has “mommy” issues that began shortly after his mother abandoned him, forced to be raised by his single father. Played by Michael McKean, Lenny works as a truck driver at the brewery where Laverne and Shirley work. Outside of the show, as an ironic joke of sorts obviously, Lenny and Squiggy had a band; Lenny & The Squigtones. They released one album underneath Casablanca Records in 1979.
