Carrie Fisher continued to pursue her successful career as an actress and a Star Wars icon, later authoring a collection of her own books including an autobiography. Throughout the 90’s, she dealt with substance abuse issues and rehabilitated herself before returning to the spotlight in the early 2000’s. In 2016, Carrie passed away one day before her mother, Debbie Reynolds, after going into cardiac arrest during a flight from London to California. She leaves behind a daughter and actress.
