Marisa took a break from starring roles in films (she still did minor ones) from the late 1990s to early 2000s. While she never stopped acting for a moment, she didn’t take on leading roles as she wanted to take a load off of sorts. She had minor roles in Happy Accidents, the Watcher, What Women Want, King of the Jungle, and Dirk and Betty. It wasn’t until her role in Anger Management that she go back to starring in films.
