Marissa lost out to (as we all know) Renee Zellweger in the 1996 film. That same year she starred in the film Unhook the Stars as the character of Monica Warren. She may have not been chosen for Jerry Maguire, which would have given her career a boost, but she did other projects that made her equally as famous in the long run. At the end of the day, Marisa continued to work throughout the 90s without fail.
