From 2001 to 2004 Marisa was linked to television writer and artistic director Frank Pugliese. It could be because he was Italian but it probably had more to do with the artistic world they both lived in. The two were off and on and very private about their relationship. Frank is known for his writing role for plays such as The King of Connecticut, The Talk, and The Alarm.
