Adrien Brody set a new record at the 2003 Academy Awards after he became the youngest man to win the Best Actor accolade. However, it wasn’t his exceptional performance in the biographical war film that had everyone talking after the ceremony.
Instead, it was the shocking kiss that he landed on presenter Halle Berry’s lips after being named the winner. A move like this would spark fury today, and even in 2003, people felt quite uncomfortable about it. Berry certainly didn’t know what to do with herself after it happened.
