Perhaps John Travolta should avoid award ceremonies in the future judging by his multiple appearances here. While that red carpet moment with Scarlett Johansson was awkward enough, it was nothing compared to what he did at the 2014 Academy Awards.
He was tasked with announcing Idina Menzel but ended up calling her Adele Dazeem instead. That sounds almost nothing like the singer’s name, leading to a lot of embarrassment on Travolta’s part. We’re glad that Idina can laugh it off now, but we’re still cringing over it.
