As someone who suffered so much due to bullying growing up, Millan is especially aware of what horrible effects such actions can have on young people.
We all have something about us that makes us different, he said, whether it’s our height, religion, orientation or anything else. Bullies will find that thing and try to make your life hard, he added, and while bullying probably won’t change – you can change your reaction to it. He implores his audience to never hurt themselves, or others, because “it gets better.”
