Opacic has tried his luck at acting in the beginning of the nineties when he was part of a couple of comedies such as Only Fools and Birds of a Feather, but it was definitely Emmerdale that won Opacic his big break.

Opacic left the show in 1999, and in 2001 he followed his co-star, Claire King when he joined Bad Girls to play Mark Waddle.
He was later also a regular on The Cahse from 2006 until he later returned to the world of soap opera to play a former football player in Hollyoaks. His successful time on the show won him many of his future roles.
