Before he played Ryan Daniel Lamb on the soap opera, James Sutton was mostly famous for playing John Paul McQueen in Hollyoaks. In March 2009, Sutton joined the cast of the popular show and stayed there for two years.
He went on to star in the supernatural series, Bedlam.

After it was publicly announced that Sutton would be leaving the show, he returned to star in the former series he was part of, Hollyoaks. Sutton became engaged to his model girlfriend, Kit Williams in January 2015.
The good looking actor was nominated for multiple awards including Sexiest Male, Best Dramatic Performance, and Best Actor.
