The trailer opens with Arya, bloodied and terrified, running away from someone – or something – unseen. “I know death. He’s got many faces,” she says in a voiceover. “I look forward to seeing this one.” But it certainly doesn’t seem like she’s expectant.
She makes a frenzied dash through the abandoned halls of Winterfell. What might have a fearless warrior like Arya so rattled? Speculation ran rampant, with some saying it might be a wight – possibly her direwolf Nymeria, or worse yet – her deceased mother Catelyn.
