Using some old fashioned detective work, we think we figured out when the battle for Winterfell would take place – and it’s probably not when you think! Miguel Sapochnik directed the incredible “Battle of the Bastards” between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton in season six.
Appropriately, he’ll also direct the battle for Winterfell. But he’s only been confirmed to have directed two episodes this season – three and five. Assuming the trailer wouldn’t give us pivotal scenes from episode five… the battle likely happens in episode three. And that means that our heroes probably lose, or the show would be over.
