All the way back in season one, Daenerys tries to save the life of her beloved husband, Khal Drogo. Since this is Game of Thrones, she fails – and learns she won’t be able to ever have children again. “The dragons are my children,” she even tells Jon Snow in season seven. “They’re the only children I’ll ever have.”
But what if she’s wrong, and her encounter with that very same person produced a pregnancy? This is just a hunch, but the show has put too much emphasis on dynasties and families for it to be a meaningless one-night stand.
