Margaret Brown, or ‘The Unsinkable Molly Brown’ as she would soon become known, was a socialite and philanthropist from America who was on the RMS Titanic when it sunk. She became famous for trying to help evacuate the ship and even attempting to get her lifeboat to turn back for more survivors.
This is a photo taken of the hero presenting an award to another hero, Captain Arthur Henry Rostron. He was the captain of the Carpathia and an integral part of the Titanic rescue mission.
