Many people watching the Andy Griffith Show realized that the set of the show looked very familiar to them, but they just could not put their finger on it. Well, as it turns out, the show was filmed at Desilu Studios in Culver City, California. Why is this important, you may ask? Well, it just so happens that this was the same studio and the same set used by the production company for the hit movie Gone with the Wind.
