Andy Griffith went on to have quite the illustrious career after The Andy Griffith Show. He primarily played roles in movies such as Roots: The Next Generations as well as in Centennial and Hearts of the West. Andy also had a starring role in the TV show Matlock. He was even awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Former President George W. Bush in 2005.
