There were a few episodes which showed Andy Griffith with a cast on his hand. He said that he broke his hand while he was fighting crime in Mayberry. Well, the truth is that Griffith really did break his hand, but not fighting crime. In a fit of rage, Andy actually punched a hole in the wall of one of the set pieces, thus shattering his hand. That is definitely some karma on a short temper.
