Did you know that Barney Fife has a middle name? Barney seemed to know that he had one, but could never seem to pick the right one. In various episodes he says that his middle name is Oliver, and in other episodes he would say that his middle name is Milton. It turns out the show’s writers were never able to agree on a middle name for the character, and it became a running gag in the show.
