When The Andy Griffith Show was cancelled in 1968, American consumers wanted more. So, the studios created a spinoff show called Mayberry R.F.D. However, despite having the vast majority of the original cast members, the show did not include Andy Griffith. This was perhaps the primary reason that the show ended up getting cancelled after just three seasons.
